Becoming a car owner takes two stages: add the car, then verify it. You must be identity-verified first (see Get verified), 21 or older, with at least two years’ driving experience.
1. Add the car. Open the Profile tab and tap Save on gas (this card becomes My Cars once you’re a car owner). The wizard asks for your car’s make, model, then year → a Review your car step → tap Add Car.
2. Verify the car. You’ll see a Car Added Successfully! screen. Tap Verify Now (you can also reach it later from My Cars, where the car shows as unverified). Then enter your car’s colour, licence plate, and VIN, and capture the document photos:
- Car Licence: front, back, and expiry.
- Vehicle owner’s ID: front, back, and expiry.
- Driving Licence: front, back, and expiry (only if your driving licence isn’t already verified).
Finish with Submit for Review. (If your identity isn’t verified yet, you’ll get an Identity Verification Required prompt first.)
Your car must:
- Be a privately registered car with 2–9 seats.
- Be no older than 15 years.
- Have working seatbelts, airbags, a fire extinguisher, and functional air conditioning.
- Be clean and roadworthy.
You can add up to four cars. Each one shows its status (verified, unverified, expired, or rejected, with a Resubmit option) on the My Cars screen.
