How it works

Search your route
Enter where you are going and when. See every matching trip with its price, time, and the car owner's full profile not just a rating.
Request & pay
Send a join request to the car owner. Once they approve, pay securely using your in-app wallet, mobile wallet, or credit card.
Ride & arrive
Chat with your car owner before the trip, track the route live, and arrive safely at your destination.
Post your trip
Add your route, available seats, and travel time. Pricing is auto-calculated from distance and fuel and you choose how much to charge, anywhere from 20% to 100% of the full trip price.
Approve your passengers
Passengers send you a request to join. You review their profile and preferences, and approve whoever you are comfortable with. You stay in full control of your car.
Drive & earn
You were already making the trip. Now your passengers cover part of the cost, and your earnings land directly in your wallet.

Before anyone shares a road on SAFER, they go through a strict verification process. Every account, every car, every passenger.

Phone & email
To create an account on SAFER, you need a verified Egyptian phone number and a valid email address.

National ID
To become a verified user and start joining trips as a passenger, we ask for your National ID or an equivalent document. You also need to be 18 or older. Every submission is reviewed by our safety and security team.

Driving license
To register as a car owner, we ask for your driving license. You also need to be 21 or older, or have at least two years of driving experience that can be verified.

Car papers
We review the car's registration and licensing documents before it can be listed on the platform. The car must be registered in your name, or you must provide proof that it belongs to a direct family member and is in your use. Additionally, and for the safety of everyone in the trip, we only allow cars that are 15 years old or newer.

What is carpooling?
Carpooling is a way to travel where people heading to the same destination share one ride. Less traffic, lower cost, friendlier journey.
Who can use SAFER?
Anyone aged 18 or older who's a resident of Egypt. To register your car and post trips as a car owner, you must be 21 or older and have at least two years of driving experience.
How do I pay for a trip?
Through your in-app wallet, powered by OPay. Open the Profile tab, tap Wallet, then Add Money to top up with a debit/credit card, a mobile wallet, or a cash deposit at an OPay partner store. Pay for each trip from your balance, or turn on auto-deduct.
What happens if a car owner cancels?
You receive a full refund into your wallet, and the car owner covers a cancellation fee. Repeated short-notice cancellations affect a car owner's standing on the platform.
Is my data safe?
Your ID and verification documents are never shown to other users. Your public profile shows your first name, photo, ratings, age, bio, travel preferences, a trust-level badge, and how long you've been a member. Never your ID, full birth date, or contact details.
