What is Carpooling ?

Carpooling is a transportation method that involves individuals who are traveling or heading to the same destination and are willing to share their journey with others.

The application is accessible to adults above 18 years, while children under 18 can use the service if accompanied by an adult. Car owners must be older than 21 years with at least two years of driving experience to publish trips.

SAFER primarily focuses on long-distance trips (100 km and over) between major cities or destinations in Egypt.

Separating male and female users for long distance trips is considered a rational safety measure that aligns with cultural norms in Egypt, providing a safer and more respectful environment for travelers.

After every trip, both car owners and passengers are prompted to rate and review the other party. Users with exceptionally low ratings will be warned and may be banned from using the service if their rating does not improve.

In later stages, SAFER intends to integrate hybrid and electric cars into its service using different pricing terms, showcasing a commitment to environmental sustainability.

How do I become a “Car Owner” on SAFER?

You need to verify your profile by providing an ID, Driver’s License, and car information.

Payments can be made via bank cards, mobile wallets, and third-party payment networks. A digital wallet system is also integrated into the app.

Choose a starting point, destination, date, luggage types & quantity, and the number of accompanying passengers to search for available trips.

This badge indicates that a passenger has verified their ID or passport with SAFER.

It’s based on passenger ratings. Low scores may lead to warnings and potential bans.

Yes, when listing or searching for a trip, you can specify certain preferences to ensure a comfortable journey.
